Steve Shenk has been an educator, corporate executive, philosopher, and entrepreneur for over forty years. His expertise and leadership on food safety issues have positively impacted the lives of thousands with a prevention-based strategy to ensure the availability, price and safety of food. Steve is also presently heard almost any day of the week across multiple radio networks as a guest of some of America’s most notable talk show programs. As a voice of reason on matters of food, energy and money, Steve uniquely understands the forces that perpetuate the world’s food dependencies. His mission is to heighten the public’s awareness and offer possible courses of action to ensure food availability and freeze its pricing to bring more security to an at-risk world. Steve has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in market analysis.

Yonis Rutledge is a very avid adventurer, Boy Scout leader, outdoorsman, survivalist, and traveler whose youthful outdoor knowledge evolved into a lifelong skill while serving for twenty years in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. Retired from the Army, he still works in the medical field and currently lives with his wife and children in New Mexico. Since 1996 he’s taught a free eight-hour course called Worse Case Scenario Disaster Preparedness.

Sarah Aller is a wife of 9 years and mother of 2. She has lived in Southern California, New Mexico, Idaho, and Utah. Sarah likes a lot of things….Diet Coke, swimming, laughing, singing, movies, rodeos, her spouse—the list is endless. Perhaps no one is as OCD as she when it comes to worrying and/or planning. Rock Waterman lives with his wife, Connie, near Sacramento, California. After their children grew up and moved away, they moved into a two-bedroom apartment which has provided them challenging opportunities to find creative places to store their emergency food and water. Rock is an avid blogger and student of history, law, theology, ancient languages, and mid-twentieth century pop culture.

Emily Kerby was born and raised in southern California, where her family gave her many real-life opportunities to appreciate food storage and emergency preparedness. She loves learning, reading, and writing non-fiction, and building things. She and her husband live on a small hobby farm in Utah.

 

Mary Ann Romans is a freelance writer, editor, and content manager, occupations that allow her to use her skills, talent, and education while still being a stay-at-home parent to three active children. A transplant from New York City, she now lives in a house in the middle of the woods in semi-rural Pennsylvania, where she and her husband are currently debating the merits of chickens versus goats and saving up for a new wood stove.
