Karen Lyons learned the importance of being self-sufficient from her depression-era parents, and in turn taught many of those skills to her eight children. She loves how being prepared and skilled contributes to peace of mind. A California native, she recently moved to Utah. Karen has hiked the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim twice, enjoys geocaching, reading, writing, and watching movies (especially independent films) and UFC fights.
