NDAA3

Pattibeatty asked a two part question:  Would like to ask a question but have never posted here before, hope I’m doing this correctly.  I will not have the option of “bugging out” when SHTF so how would you recommend disguising / dispersing smoke from a cooking hibachi to avoid making myself a “target”?  I thought a hibachi might be less noticeable than a full-sized fire or a grill.  Any other recommendations you have for someone who will have to go it alone would be greatly appreciated-there doesn’t seem to be any other preppers in my area.

Depending on your location for cooking on an hibachi, i.e.: porch, back patio, balcony, etc, you will want to block your cooking area so it will not be seen from the outside.  You will want to construct a cooking area so you can have a wet (not dripping) blanket over you hibachi to collect as much at the smoke and odors as much as possible.  It will be challenging…  However if you can cook indoors say in a garage or your kitchen, the better.  If your home has an attic where the smoke can go, the better.

You will also want to keep your fire just large enough to cook your meal.  Under adverse survival conditions, most folks will be only cooking and eating two meals a day, breakfast and dinner.

As for sheltering in place, read my past blog, it should help you:

Like I’ve always said, there is safety and strength in numbers.  Check out this link to see if this will help you find other like minded folks in your area:  http://www.preppergroups.com/

You can post a search and hopefully fond others in your area to work with.

Besides that, you still want to make sure you have a very good water source, a year’s supply of food minimum, a good rifle, pistol and shotgun with plenty of ammo (1000 rounds minimum per gun) and a very good, well stocked first aid kit.

If you have any further questions, please ask.

And Cal asked:  Haven’t the PEOs you mentioned, 10997, 10998, 11000, and 11004 been revoked by: EO 11490, October 28, 1969?

Well Cal, while there have been some changes for the good, unfortunately there have been a lot more for the bad when it comes to PEO’s.  Two things that have made things worse and have taken more of our freedoms away are the “Patriot Act” of 2001 and the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

With both of these, they turn the US into a Communist / Socialist country.  It is only a matter of time until the government starts to enforce these new rules upon us with force.

I would like to thank everyone for their great commits they have posted.  If anyone out there has any questions, please ask.  Just give your first name and where your from.
