Urgent Food Supply Update

Our Food Is Being Turned into Fuel
Seventy percent of the corn in this country has typically been fed to livestock to produce our food. Now over $1 billion in Government subsidies are being paid to large corporations to produce ethanol fuel from corn. The ethanol plants have become so profitable that a $100 million investment in a plant can be paid back in one year. Farmers who are not being subsidized to grow our food can’t afford to compete for livestock feed with the fuel corporations.
Thousands of acres previously in food production are being converted to grow corn for ethanol. The shortages from reduced growing acreages and high cost of livestock feed are creating skyrocketing food prices and eventually almost no meat, milk or eggs will be available. There is even a plan to genetically alter the corn further so it won’t be usable for animal feed.
We are in the second year of a worldwide famine. Many parts of the United States haven’t planted crops for three years because of water shortage. And now we are planting corn on more and more of our acreage which erodes the soil 12 times faster than the growing capacity can be renewed. Corn robs groundwater 25% faster than it can be recharged.
Note: If the automobiles in our country all run on ethanol, it would take 97% of the entire landmass just to grow the corn to produce it. Furthermore, production of 1 gallon of ethanol costs approximately twice as much as the cost of producing a gallon of gasoline. Incidentally, there is no shortage of petroleum. It takes approximately 1 gallon of petroleum energy to produce that gallon of ethanol.
Our fearless only solution to food shortages and costs resulting from corn ethanol production is to store our own supply of food while we can still afford food that is not poisoned.
Also, every food supply must contain "heritage" (nonhi-bred) seeds for the time when "they" control the only seeds in the world.
