Peggy Layton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Education from Brigham Young University with a minor in Food Science and Nutrition. Peggy is married to Scott Layton and together they have seven children. With nine people to feed, Peggy uses bulk foods on a regular basis. Peggy writes and speaks about bulk food supplies from a lifetime of experience.
A modern day pioneer, Peggy and her husband grow a big garden, maintain a year round "Growing Dome" greenhouse, use, give away, bottle, or dehydrate all the food they grow. They raise chickens, are out of debt and maintain several years' worth of bulk food supplies.
Ms. Layton is known nation wide for authoring several cooking volumes including, Cookin' With Home Storage; Emergency Food Storage and Survival Handbook; Food Storage 101, Where Do I Begin?; Cookin' With Powdered Milk; Cookin' With Dried Eggs; Cookin With Beans And Rice; and Cookin' With Potatoes.
