How much food do you need? Please give serious thought to how much food you will need to get through the coming shortages and problems. (Remember your food supply is your primary and maybe only means to immediate independence and fearlessness.) We have our opinion, but it's your life and it will be effected by your decisions. The average number of years stored by families who are scripturally and politically aware is between 3 and 4 years.
What's the Difference in Freedom and Liberty Units? The LIBERTY and FREEDOM units contain the same combination of foods except that the FREEDOM unit has additional items—a case of soup, a case of high nutrition Ama products and some quick fix meals. These meals take no preparation except to add water and heat.
Is there a cost savings over the grocery store? The one year units from eFoodsDirect cost about 40% less than the grocery store. Each one year unit will replace $2,500 worth of groceries ($50 a week x 50 weeks.) The one year units provide that quantity of food for about $1,000 less than groceries.
How many calories per day? Both the LIBERTY and the FREEDOM units provide 2200–2300 calories per day (if stored with suggested quantity of wheat and sweetener). They include a large vegetable selection and 1-1/2 cups of fresh green sprout salad everyday for a year.
How much should I store for my children?Small children (under 5 or 6 years of age) can usually eat with a parent. You know the portions your children eat. Estimate the number of "adult equivalences" you need by comparing how many of your children it takes to eat as much as one parent. This will tell you how many one adult supplies you will need for each year of storage in your plan.
Is the food vegetarian? The soups and entrees are all vegetarian. Any "meat" (Vegetable "Beef" Stew, for example) is textured vegetable protein or TVP. (It is all non-GMO.)
How FRESH is the food?We keep NO inventory on hand. There's a lot of food still available from Y2K that unethical marketers are willing to ship to families. We consider this literally life-threatening since there is no way of telling when the cans were packed or what food they were filled with. All supplies from eFoodsDirect are packed FRESH and date stamped within weeks of shipping.
Is the food imported? How about added MSG, or GMO?Except for the bananas all supplies from eFoodsDirect are grown domestically. Food imported from Mexico and other third world countries is often raised with illegal fertilizers, insecticides and even "black water". Some dangerous, genetically altered foods are also imported. The food supplies from eFoodsDirect have NO added
MSG or
GMO.
How is the food processed?#1 grade vegetables are dehydrated from fresh raw. Your food is prepared by adding water in accord with the directions on the can and then cooking as you would straight from the garden. The objective is to have food that is prepared and tastes exactly the way your family prefers their meals.
How is the food packed?Yearly supplies from eFoodsDirect are packed in #10 American-made double enameled cans. The cans contain slightly less than 1 gallon of dried food each.
What is the shelf life?Dehydrated food, stored in ideal conditions, can last for more than 20 years. However, eFoodsDirect recommends that you rotate your food storage every 15 years to insure taste and nutrition. Once the cans are opened they will last up to one year if the plastic covers are used to keep out humidity. (Do not refrigerate.)
When will my order be shipped? All One-Year-Units are PACKED FRESH and shipped within 2-3 weeks of your order. The Grab 'n' Go Pack, Nutriversal and specialty cases are usually shipped the within a week.
How will my order be shipped?Food shipments are sent by truck freight lines. Your freight rates are automatically calculated by your zip code in the shopping cart. The length of travel time for shipments after leaving the warehouse varies from two to five days depending on your location in the country.
