White Cheddar Pasta Shells

Ingredients

  • 1 cup eFoodsDirect White Cheddar Pasta Shells (prepare according to pkg. directions)
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups fresh grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 cups broccoli florets

Cooking Instructions

Cook the white cheddar pasta according to the package directions. Drain. Cook broccoli for 5 minutes over medium high heat in a medium sauce pan. Heat the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add flour and cook, for 2 minutes, stirring consistently. Whisk in milk and cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened, 4 to 5 minutes.

Add 1 cup of the cheese and stir until melted. Stir in salt, and pepper.

Add the pasta and broccoli and toss to combine. Transfer to a broiler safe 9 x 13” baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cup of cheese. Broil until golden, 3 to 4 minutes.

Cooking Time: 30 minutes; Makes 4 Servings.
