Properly dried and stored food generally does not "spoil" so it has an almost unlimited shelf life as far as spoilage goes. As a result you'll be quoted anywhere from 5 to 50 years for shelf life from various "food storage" companies. However, at eFoodsDirect our greatest concern is for the nutrition, indicated by flavor, which you receive from your food whether you use it for recreation, everyday meals or in the near or distant future for emergencies/security.
Even the superior eFoodsDirect quality food will deteriorate nutritionally at a very slow rate over time. We quote shelf life in consideration of the ideal retention of nutrition not for a safe usage limit.
The Nutriversal food will have the best flavor and nutritional value if used prior to 10 years of storage time. (This depends on storage conditions. Overheating stored food past 100°F for prolonged periods is never recommended.)
The Garden Fresh Pantry one-year supplies are best if used within 12 to 15 years although use after 15 years has no safety concerns. The foods will just not taste as close to garden fresh as they could have.
